Title: Thrift Shop Assistant Location: Boulder, CO Schedule: 20 hours/week Pay: 18.30 to $19.13 per hour JOB SUMMARY Assists the Thrift Shop Manager and Thrift Shop Assistant Manager with daily tasks related to running the Thrift Shop: receiving and sorting merchandise, unloading donated merchandise, working with volunteers in sorting, pricing, cashiering, and merchandising activities, providing excellent customer service both in the Shop and over the phone, and other tasks as needed. EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS Minimum high school diploma. Minimum one year experience in retail, preferably in the thrift, consignment, or used merchandise sales industry. Excellent customer service skills. Must successfully pass agency required background checks and drug screening Must comply with agency health screening and immunization requirements Must be able to demonstrate computer competency ESSENTIAL DUTIES Assists with receiving and sorting merchandise Unloads donated merchandise at Thrift Shop Assists customers with unloading donations Works with volunteers on daily tasks Answers the phone in a professional manner Assists with receiving, sorting, and pricing merchandise Works as cashier, trains volunteers on the floor, cash register, and pricing as appropriate Assists with moving and arranging merchandise on Shop floor Opens and/or closes store as needed Oversee community service workers TRU's Benefits (Eligibility Varies by Position/Status): Paid Vacation time 401(k) with match Health, dental, vision & life insurance FSA & HSA available Paid orientation Paid training PSLF Eligible Employer Referral & signing bonuses (if applicable) To learn more about TRU Community Care, please visit www.trucare.org.
