L. Chabot Enterprises Ltd. is an established Winnipeg Heavy Construction company specializing in sand and gravel supply and delivery; roadway construction and earthworks projects. We are able to offer year-round employment opportunities for qualified personnel.
Chabot is now seeking a Truck & Equipment Dispatcher to join our team.
Work Location: Head Office at 25002 Hazelridge Road in the RM of Springfield
Qualifications:
· Previous Dispatch experience with commercial trucking and equipment fleet
· Valid Manitoba Driver’s License, Class 1A an asset
· Knowledge of Winnipeg routes and surrounding municipalities
· Strong leadership, professionalism and organizational skills
· Able to work independently with the ability to motivate and lead a team
· Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, internet navigation, email and GPS fleet tracking software
· Professional communication skills, verbal and written
· Ability to work under pressure, in a fast-paced environment
· Willingness to learn and grow with the business
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Schedule daily load assignments for fleet of +20 trucks
· Assign drivers and equipment
· Direct routing for load assignments
· Manage permits and trip documents
· Communicate with fleet drivers by means of wireless devices and on-board CB radio
· Ensure fleet activity compliance with HTA, MPI, MI and WS&H regulations and requirements
· Coordinate with Maintenance Supervisor fleet maintenance and repair schedule
· Coordinate with Project Managers fleet activity and equipment scheduling
· Conduct pre-qualification and hiring of new fleet drivers and annual driver reviews
· Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports summarizing fleet activity
· Winter season: coordinate schedule for day shift/night equipment fleet of +40
· Reporting to Management

The offered position is full-time, permanent, day-shift: Monday-Friday (48-50 hours per week), some Saturday work may be required.
