Description Summit Bodyworks, a premier builder of tool trucks, mobile libraries, moving trucks and other specialty vehicles has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Truck Body Assembler. Every truck we build is customized from the chassis up; we build our vehicles to suit the needs and desires of our diverse customer base, from fortune 100 companies to independent owner operators. Our Truck Body Assemblers are responsible for the assembly of a multitude of components as well as completed truck bodies. HSA and/or FSA, as applicable Paid Time Off, Sick Time, and Company Paid Holidays Employee Car Discount Program ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Ability to read blueprints and understand instructions. Cut wood or metals to specific sizes using a variety of saws, shears and cutters. Assemble components of the box (Roof, Walls, Nose, Deck, Understructure, Lining, etc.) per blueprint locations. Assemble components to make a finished box, this includes sealing the box and installing various types of doors. Mount the finished box onto one of the various vehicle systems. Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets or fasteners. Operate pneumatic tools and hand tools. Examine finished project for quality and defects. Perform safety and quality checks. Other duties as assigned. Requirements WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL ABILITIES: Frequent mobility and/or sitting, standing, bending or stooping for prolonged/extended periods. Requires lifting up to 75 pounds frequently. Requires working confined spaces. Requires eye-hand coordination sufficient to operate machinery. Occasionally works at heights using ladder or mechanical lift. Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting, manual and finger dexterity. Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours. Requires working in a fast paced environment. Requires a normal range of hearing and vision. Must understand vague and implicit instructions, and react favorably in all work situations. Must be able to communicate providing verbal feedback in a professional manner. REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: High School diploma or equivalent Must have a valid Driver's License and MVR in good standing Ability to read blueprints and work orders Ability to read a tape measure Must have basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills Ability to efficiently use various power and hand tools Ability to work with multiple priorities Excellent communication skills, both written and oral Ability to be responsive and highly efficient with relaying information Detail oriented Ability to successfully complete a General Abilities Assessment and pass a post-offer background check, physical and drug screening JOB DETAILS: Type: Hourly Compensation Range: $20.00 - $22.00 Bonus Eligibility: No Shift: 4 days a week, 10 hour days Reports To: Production Supervisor Closing Date: Open until filled #SBW
