    Title: Truck Driver Department: Self Perform  Reports to: Warehouse Manager, Self Perform Direct Reports: N/A Location: Bridgewater, MA Status: Full Time/Hourly Years of Experience: 0-5    Job Title:  * Truck Driver     Essential Functions:   The Truck Driver, Self Perform, will safely operate vehicles such box trucks, rack bodies, flatbeds, and trailers to transport and deliver materials, equipment, and tools to various construction sites in New England and New York.   Safety * Promote the Callahan safety culture and lead by example at all times * Load Security – Properly load, secure, and unload materials according to safety regulations to prevent shifting of materials during transport * Safety Compliance - Adhere to all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and site-specific safety protocols. * Vehicle maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to check and report any issues with tires, brakes, lights, and fluids. Perform minor maintenance like greasing and cleaning. * Coordination: Communicate with site supervisors and other team members to coordinate delivery schedules, manage priorities, and ensure timely arrival at job sites. * Required labor: Assist with on-site tasks like loading and unloading materials, clearing debris, or directing traffic as needed. * Emergency response: Be available for occasional after-hours emergency response work if required. Requirements:  * Valid driver's license, and a MASSDOT commercial drivers' certification (CDL is a BONUS)  * Clean driving record – this role will be required to submit annual motor vehicle records checks * Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs. or more) * Strong understanding of traffic laws and safety regulations * Understanding and ability to use navigational technology  * Basic math and record-keeping skills * Good communication and interpersonal skills * Bilingual (Spanish or Portuguese) a plus     All qualified applicants will be afforded equal opportunity.
