Description POSITION PURPOSE: Ensure the safe and efficient transportation of agriculture commodities. RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform daily vehicle inspections and document accordingly Report all maintenance issues and schedule for repair Complete and submit required logs and transportation paperwork in a timely manner Pick up and deliver product in a safe and efficient manner Abide by all State and Federal traffic regulations Maintain cleanliness of the truck and trailer, inside and out, including sweeping of the trailer after loads Communicate with vendors and supervisors if delays are probable Requirements BASIC REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma Must have or be able to obtain Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, and be an insurable driver Must be able to pass DOT required physical and related drug test Maintain Class A CDL and Medical Card Availability to work extended hours during peak seasons Must be able to follow directions and effectively communicate with others Understanding of mechanical machines and tools desired Agriculture background preferred but not required PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to lift 75lbs., climb ladders and/or rail cars, stairs, and bins May also be required to work in confined spaces Must be able to work in grain dust and during inclement weather Must be able to perform all physical requirements of the position
