Truck Driver I -Part Time Hourly, non-exempt   Job Functions - Logistics: Transport materials, donations, and salvage between stores and warehouses. - Material Handling: Load/unload trucks, often using pallet jacks or hand trucks, and securely arrange gaylords/skids, and other cargo. - Assists warehouse staff and others to prepare loads, maintain documentation, and clean warehouses. - Vehicle Care: Perform daily inspections and routine maintenance checks. - Fuels vehicles, records fueling data on receipts and submits copies in accordance with company policies and procedures. - Safety Compliance: Adhere to all MDOT, OSHA, and company safety protocols. - Adheres to safety policies regarding handling of equipment and storage of merchandise within specified areas. - Follows safety rules, ensures safe operating conditions are followed within area of responsibility, wears required personal protective equipment and clothing, keeping truck, and loading areas clean and orderly. - Customer Service: Represent Goodwill professionally when interacting with donors and staff. - Works from company policies, standards, and instructions, vehicle inspection lists, driver logs, shippers, and other related documentation; submits required reports at the end of each shift.     Competencies All positions at Goodwill Industries of West Michigan require that the individual possess strong personal motivation/initiative, problem solving orientation, commitment to excellence, an ability to work well with diverse teams, and a strong commitment to our organizational mission. Additionally, this position requires the following: - Flexibility/adaptability - Customer Orientation - Ability to work independently - Positive attitude and ability to work well within a team environment - Clean driving record and the ability to pass drug screens     Education - GED/diploma required   Experience - 1 year in Box Truck driving required   Certifications/Licenses - Valid driver's license and insurance required - CDL preferred - Powered industrial truck license preferred - Valid Non-CDL Class C license required   Physical Environment - Exposure to dust and debris from donated goods - 30% outside and 70% inside.  Exposure may possibly include extreme cold or heat, noise or vibration and fumes   Other Requirements - Travel within GIWM territory (generally in agency vehicle) - Ability to work weekends and some holidays
