GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

As a Driver, you will be responsible to pick-up and deliver tires and materials in a safe, efficient and professional manner. You will provide operation of tractor-trailer units for local, shuttle movement of rubber, tires, raw materials and equipment between the manufacturing facility and the adjacent warehouse. You will be assigned to a rotating 8 hour shift (days, nights, afternoons) to provide Monday to Friday driving, shipping and receiving services to support Goodyear’s manufacturing processes.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • 6+ months’ relevant driving experience
  • High school diploma
  • Must have a valid Class 1 driver’s license for the type of vehicle required for the position and be able to meet commercial driver qualification requirements. Driver’s abstract, with demonstrated safe and compliant work history, is required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • No relocation is being offered for this position
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship now or in the future
Responsibilities
  • All aspects of pick-up and delivery of tires, rubber and other loads between Goodyear facilities, and additional destinations/customers as required.
  • Assist with loading and unloading commercial tires, casings, wheels, mounted wheel assemblies and related products while following all safety rules and procedures. Proficiency with forklift/personal industrial vehicles is an asset.
  • Maintain customer relationships including building and maintaining customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible for documentation completion with delivery.
  • Keep all documents and maintenance records up to date on equipment assigned.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by management.
  • Perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods of time, which may include light and moderate lifting, standing, bending, and squatting.
