Pacific Northwest Farmers Cooperative Job Description                                                              Job Title: Truck Driver Department: Operations Reports To: Operations Division Manager FLSA Status: Non-exempt Prepared By: Tedi Roach Prepared Date: February 24, 2015 Approved By:  Approved Date:    Summary Drives truck with capacity of more than 3 tons, to transport materials to and from specified destinations, by performing the following duties.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.   Drives truck to destination.   Prepares receipts for load picked up.   Maintains truck log, according to state and federal regulations.   Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions.   Loads and unloads truck or assists company employees.   Inspects truck for defects before and after trips and informs management as to necessary corrections.   Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.   Performs emergency roadside repairs such as changing tires, installing light bulbs, tire chains, and spark plugs.   Positions blocks and ties rope around items to secure cargo during transit.   Supervisory Responsibilities                                                        This job has no supervisory responsibilities.     Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
