Description Under the supervision and direction of the Warehouse Manager, safely and courteously pick up and/or coordinate the pick-up of donations from designated donors and deliver to LifePath Christian Ministries. Help ensure basic systems of the ministry’s facilities remain in operating condition allowing employees to focus on the vision, mission, and values of the ministry. To be a Christ centered organization that is a compassionate shelter and vital community partner. Requirements DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for providing respectful, courteous service; interact with and respond to LifePath donors, employees, and guests in a professional, helpful manner. Complete all recordkeeping, driver logs, documentation, and paperwork as required. Assist with sorting, categorizing, inventorying, and storage of donated items. Responsible for HAACP documentation in regards to safe transportation of food products. Operation of Forklift within warehouse to load/unload products. Address potential safety hazards to avoid employee, guest, and volunteer injuries. Detect and report the need for major maintenance repairs. Occasionally work with and lead volunteers on projects around facilities. Assist with special projects as needed. Provide employees with support on maintaining equipment. Help maintain positive relations with vendors. Respect confidentiality of guests served at LifePath. Pick up needed materials from local vendors Preparation of meals. Receives Frozen, Refrigerated and dry food products, materials, equipment and supplies delivered/donated to the facility. Inspects incoming stock for apparent damage, expiration dates and handles any discrepancies. Organizes and stores food, equipment and supplies using forklifts, pallet jacks and ladders. Picks up/drops off donations/deliveries of food, equipment and supplies. Prepares and processes paperwork related to shipping, receiving, donation, inventory and storage. Follows guidelines in regards to food storage from government agencies and Lifepath policy. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations in the kitchen to yield positive inspection results. Ensure kitchen is properly cleaned up and closed/secured with no guests in the area Check freshness of food and rotate or discard out of date items. Assist with receiving donations as needed. Perform other duties as assigned SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Excels in a fast-paced work environment. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively communicate with other employees. Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to safely operate ladders, hand, and power tools. Apply critical thinking to resolve issues utilizing on-hand resources or be able to identify the needed materials to resolve identified issues. Able to replicate demonstrated tasks/skills. Valid driver’s license required. Clean driving record required. Ability to pass DOT physical required EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Excels in a fast-paced work environment. Forklift Experience. ServSafe Certification. Ability to communicate with other staff. Enjoys menu planning and working in a team environment. Knowledge of Food Service Warehouse procedures. Use of forklifts, pallet jacks, lifts and delivery trucks. Safe working practices including lifting and safe driving. Methods used in receiving, storing and issuing food supplies and equipment. Able to create nutritional meals from available resources. Able and willing to model Christ-likeness in conduct and conversation as described in our core values. Responsibilities
