Description
This is a remote position. Schedule: Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 6 PM with 1 hour unpaid break Client Timezone: Central Time (Chicago) Responsibilities: Conduct cold calling and active outreach to truck driver candidates through Indeed and other sources Follow up on leads generated from company flyers posted throughout the city Walk candidates through a 2-3 day recruiting process with personalized attention Pre-qualify candidates using standardized questions (drug testing ability, background check eligibility, physical requirements like lifting 150 pounds) Guide candidates through drug testing and background check processes, providing clear directions and support Maintain and update a kanban board tracking system to monitor candidate progress through different stages Provide human interaction and support to candidates who need guidance through the onboarding process Follow up with candidates who don't respond initially, ensuring multiple touchpoints Coordinate with management for final interviews and placement Requirements: Previous recruiting experience at least (5 years), preferably in transportation or high-volume hiring Strong phone communication skills with neutral accent Ability to work US business hours (Chicago time zone Experience with CRM systems or tracking tools Comfortable making multiple cold calls daily Patient and supportive communication style for guiding candidates through processes Familiarity with Indeed and other job posting platforms Scope: Focus on truck driver recruitment for 4 small trucking companies (~20 employees each) High-volume recruiting environment due to typical 3-month driver turnover Seasonal urgency during November-December peak shipping period Use company-provided tools including Google Workspace, VoIP system, and kanban tracking board Independent Contractor Perks HMO Coverage for eligible locations Permanent work-from-hom Immediate hiring ZR_29802_JOB
