As we continue to grow, we’re expanding our digital footprint and strengthening our brand story, and that’s where you come Position Summary The Commercial Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of recyclable materials using a variety of heavy-duty commercial vehicles. This role requires a Class A CDL and the ability to operate multiple truck configurations, including tractor-trailer combinations and roll-off equipment. Drivers play a critical role in maintaining customer service standards, ensuring material integrity, and supporting daily recycling operations. Requirements Essential Duties & Responsibilities Driving & Equipment Operation Safely operate tractor-trailer combinations (18-wheeler) to transport recyclable materials between customer locations, transfer stations, and recycling facilities Operate roll-off trucks to deliver, exchange, and retrieve open-top containers and roll-off boxes Operate straight trucks with as required by routing needs Perform coupling and uncoupling of trailers, including air lines and electrical connections Secure loads properly to prevent shifting, spillage, or loss of materials during transport Recycling & Yard Operations Load and unload recyclable materials safely, including metal, scrap, and other approved commodities Verify material types, quantities, and destination requirements Assist with container placement at customer sites according to operational guidelines Support yard operations when not actively driving, including staging containers and assisting equipment operators as needed Safety, Compliance & Inspections Conduct pre-trip, post-trip, and en-route inspections in accordance with DOT regulations Maintain accurate driver logs, inspection reports, and trip documentation Comply with all DOT, FMCSA, and company safety policies Report equipment issues, safety hazards, or incidents immediately Follow all PPE and site-specific safety requirements at customer and facility locations Customer & Team Support Represent the company professionally at customer sites Communicate effectively with dispatch, scale operators, yard supervisors, and customers Address basic customer questions related to pickups, container placement, or schedules Support operational efficiency by adhering to routing and scheduling priorities Qualifications Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Clean or acceptable MVR per company and insurance standards Minimum 5 years of experience operating tractor-trailer combinations Proven ability to operate roll-off trucks and multi-trailer configurations Knowledge of DOT safety regulations and compliance requirements Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Physically able to climb in and out of trucks, secure loads, and perform inspections Preferred Qualifications Experience in recycling, waste management, scrap metal, or industrial hauling Familiarity with open-top containers, roll-off boxes, and transfer operations Forklift or heavy equipment exposure (helpful but not required) Strong safety record with minimal or no preventable accidents Physical & Work Environment Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally Frequent climbing, bending, and standing Exposure to dust, noise, heavy machinery, and outdoor conditions Extended periods of driving and equipment operation COMPENSATION DOE
