Description About Us Thomann Asphalt is a family-owned full-service asphalt paving company. Thomann’s extensive experience has kept us in business for over 100 years. The Company’s primary focus is on commercial and industrial paving and site work projects in both the private and public sectors. We specialize in parking lot maintenance, including paving, patching, seal coating, crack sealing, drain work, and site work, which includes a full complement of grading, excavating, and utility installation services. Essential Functions Safe transportation of raw materials used to assist in preparing and finishing projects to job sites. Observe and report equipment or mechanical failures immediately. Conduct daily inspections of the vehicle and the beginning and end of each shift; report any problems or damage to management. Comply with all DOT and Company rules and regulations. Supervisory Responsibility This position does not have supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment This job operates primarily in an indoor and outdoor work environment, in all weather conditions. Physical Demands The employee is frequently required to sit and occasionally stand, climb, or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must be able to push, pull, move, and lift up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to climb and descend a flight of stairs as needed. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday. Extended hours, nights and weekend work may be necessary based on business needs. While in season the typical work week is approximately 50-60 hours. License must be in good standing No previous tickets or accidents 2 + years of commercial driving is required
Responsibilities
The Truck Driver is responsible for the safe transportation of raw materials to job sites and must conduct daily vehicle inspections. They are also required to observe and report any equipment or mechanical failures immediately.
