We are looking for an experienced Heavy Combination Truck Driver who has the capability to work under limited supervision and has experience in maintaining a safe and injury free workplace for all employees while operating in a high speed, high traffic volume environment.
You’ll be confident in Heavy Vehicle Chain of Responsibility (HVCoR) requirements and highly capable of rectifying simple hazards without direction and reporting them accordingly.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU’LL:
Be a part of our Road Maintenance & Resilience team undertaking a new package of works in Walgett.
You will service the Dubbo District and Walgett Shire (within a nominal 200km radius)
Competently operate Heavy Combination vehicles to Heavy Vehicle Chain of Responsibility (HVCoR) requirements and hold a HC Class Drivers Licence
Load and unload plant from trailer and tow any trailers that their vehicle is rated to tow.
Operate a HIAB or similar truck mounted crane.
Perform any of the duties of a Road Worker when required.
This position involves transporting, unloading / loading and operating construction plant with a heavy combination truck and trailer combination.
Experience operating construction plant including Backhoe, Skid steer and Excavator is ideal but not an essential requirement.
Travel throughout the District to attend worksites including attending call outs on weekends and after hours scheduled night work where required along with work away from home.
This is a Fixed-Term Full-Time Opportunity to 30th June 2026 – Based in Dubbo or Walgett.
We take the WH&S and the management of fatigue of our employees seriously. Therefore, to be successful in this role it is a requirement that you must reside within a 70km distance of Walgett, Dubbo or Narrabri.
