ABOUT YOU

We are looking for experienced Truck Drivers who has the capability to work under limited supervision and has experience in maintaining a safe and injury free workplace for all employees.

Essential Tickets and Licence:

  • White Card
  • Heavy Rigid Driver’s Licence

Labouring experience in a construction or civil environment or road worker and experience and understanding of local road networks across the district.
You will live within 100km radius of the Broken Hill works depot
Whilst not required, experience in operating plant (excavator, bobcat, padfoot/smooth drum roller) is advantageous

Responsibilities
  • Competently operate HR Trucks primarily designed for the haulage of fuel, bulk materials and fitted with hydraulic tipping gear.
  • Tow any trailers that their vehicle is rated to tow.
  • Operate a HIAB or similar truck mounted crane.
  • Perform maintenance and manual labouring at a Road Worker grade 3 - including tasks using plant and equipment and powered and non-powered hand tools when not operating the Truck.
  • Work collaboratively with the team including Team Leaders and Works Supervisors to manage the day-to-day operations and tasks as well as resolve issues that may arise.
  • Keep up to date with WHS legislation and policies and procedures as it relates to minimising risk and keeping to safe work standards.
  • Work a 9 Day Fortnight.
  • Travel throughout the region and camp away from home, Monday to Friday, up to 80% on the year.
