Description CDL Required for this Position Position Type: Full-Time Union Position Department: Operations Typical hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Pay Rate: $26.25 / Hourly Job Summary: Responsible for warehouse product care including receiving, storage, distribution, pickup and/or delivery. Requirements Responsibilities: Drive Food Bank vehicles to make product pick-ups and/or deliveries to agencies and affiliate food banks. Load and unload trucks at the Food Bank location and other outreach locations. Produce and maintain accurate documentation, including trip sheets and DOT drivers’ logs as appropriate. Maintain a clean driving record and up-to-date CDL. Read pick lists and other applicable documents to fill orders, and check off agency pick-ups on the agency dock. Assist on dock or in Shop Thru. Transport product from receiving areas to storage or to other designated areas in the warehouse. Process both general warehouse and freezer orders. Sort and place product on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, and product code. Sort and store perishable goods in refrigerated areas. Mark product with identifying information. Weigh or count product for distribution. Check orders filled by other staff for accuracy. Assemble customer orders from stock by following all current practices. Store orders on pallets or shelves. Transport orders to pick up dock or delivery staging area. Provide excellent customer service to agencies and other customers. Safely operate all warehouse equipment. Maintain accurate records. Assist with moving and placing furniture and equipment and/or moving or distributing inventory or vehicles as needed. Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly facility and accurate inventory. Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED), and one year of related experience and/or training. Knowledge and ability to operate handheld computer. Ability to operate standard office computer including Microsoft Applications (including email). Experience with driving both automatic and standard transmission vehicles. Knowledge of warehouse operations. Knowledge of the greater Pittsburgh area. Knowledge of and ability to operate warehouse equipment including dolly, pump jack, power jack, forklift, and/or other material handling equipment. Valid CDL with airbrake endorsement. Able to lift and move 75-100 pounds Ability to work in the refrigerator and freezer for extended periods of time.
