Description Position starts at $15.50 per hour with annual merit increases and production bonuses. Full time team members are also eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance along with paid time off. Secures items in position on truck to prevent damage during shipment. Spots trucks when Truck Driver is backing into an area. Moves donated items to designated area. Removes donated items and trash from collection sites to maintain the site in a clean and orderly condition. Reads map or enters address into GPS device or follows written instructions to direct the driver in locating destinations. Requirements EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE No prior experience or training. PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly (more than 2/3 of the day) required to use hands to finger, handle or feel. The team member regularly (more than 2/3 of the day) is required to bend and stoop; stand or walk; pull or push; reach with hands and arms, above and below shoulder; turn and twist body. The team member is occasionally (less than 1/3 of the day) required to talk; sit; climb or balance; stoop, crouch or kneel. The team member must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and depth perception. WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the team member is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The team member is occasionally exposed to noise or vibration; dust; odors. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Responsibilities
The role involves securing items on the truck to prevent damage during shipment and assisting the Truck Driver by spotting the truck during backing maneuvers. Responsibilities also include moving donated items and maintaining clean collection sites by removing trash and donated goods.
