About the Role: The Truck Loader plays a critical role in the transportation and warehousing industry by ensuring that goods are efficiently and safely loaded onto trucks for delivery. Minimum Qualifications: * Right to work legally in the United States. * Basic reading and comprehension skills to understand instructions and safety guidelines. * Certification or proven experience in operating a forklift safely. * Ability to follow safe working practices consistently. * Capability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications: * Previous experience in a transportation or warehousing role involving truck loading. * Familiarity with warehouse management systems or inventory tracking software. * Additional safety certifications related to material handling or equipment operation. * Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or walking. * Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and supervisors. Responsibilities: * Load and unload goods from trucks using pallet jacks and forklifts in a safe and efficient manner. * Inspect cargo for damage and ensure proper handling to prevent loss or damage during transportation. * Organize and stack products on pallets to optimize space and maintain stability during transit. * Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to coordinate loading schedules and shipment priorities. * Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all team members. Skills: The required skills such as basic reading and the right to work ensure that the Truck Loader can comprehend operational instructions and comply with legal employment standards. Proficiency in operating pallet jacks and forklifts is essential for moving and loading heavy goods safely and efficiently. Following safe working practices is critical to minimize workplace accidents and maintain a secure environment for all employees. The ability to work effectively in a team environment facilitates smooth coordination with colleagues, ensuring that loading tasks are completed on schedule. Preferred skills like familiarity with warehouse systems and additional safety certifications enhance the candidate's ability to contribute to operational efficiency and safety compliance on a daily basis.
