WORK HOURS: Monday through Friday, 12:00AM-7:00AM (30-40 hours per week) Position Summary: Offload material such as stainless steel and aluminum plate, sheet, and bar stock from evening shuttles, and reload flatbed trucks for next day deliveries. Hours are Monday through Friday, 12:30AM-7:00AM. Role & Responsibilities: Safely operate forklift to offload material from nightly shuttles. Safely operate forklift to reload flatbed trucks for next day deliveries. Assure that material is loaded for optimum delivery schedule. Assure that material is loaded without damage. Comply with transportation-related policies, for proper distribution of weight per DOT and government regulations. Promote safe work activities and maintain a clean and safe work environment. Requirements Requirements: At least two years of experience as a safe forklift operator in a distribution environment preferred. CDL experience a plus. Knowledge of the transportation industry and logistics. Critical thinking skills. Ability to lift 50 lbs. and climb on to truck beds as needed. Minority/Female/Disabled/Veterans.
