Apply today and start your journey with Coffee Cup Travel Plazas TA Express!     Truck Service Advisor (TSA) A TA Truck Center Service Advisor managers customer interactions, which involves writing work orders, explaining repairs and costs, and coordinating service for trucks. Key responsibilities include handling over-the-counter transactions, suggesting additional services to generate revenue, and ensuring a positive customer experience. The role requires strong customer service and computer skills and an understanding of the trucking industry.  Core responsibilities * Customer Service: Serve as the primary point of contact between customers and service technicians, explaining inspection results, repair recommendations, and costs.  * Work Order Management: Write, detail, and process work orders, including securing purchase orders, preparing quotes, and accurately recording the customer's concerns.  * Sales and Upselling: Use strong suggestive selling skills to identify and offer additional services to customers.  * Transaction Handling: Handle over-the-counter (OTC) transactions and understand various payment types.  * Coordination: Source parts from outside vendors and coordinate their delivery for repairs.  * Administrative Tasks: Prepare end-of-shift reports and ensure the cleanliness of service counters and the showroom.  * Skills and qualifications * Strong knowledge of products and services offered. * Excellent customer service and communication skills. * Proficiency with computers. * Understand and carry out oral and written directions. * Maintain cooperative working relationships. * Demonstrate sensitivity to, and respect for, a diverse population.  Work environment * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. * Strong integrity and the ability to work both independently and with a team. * Understanding of the trucking industry is beneficial.  Physical Demands: * May involve standing, walking, kneeling, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.  * Sensory: May be exposed to noise, fumes, dirt, and dust.  * Setting: Typically works indoors at a service counter but may be exposed to outdoor elements.    The duties of this position may change from time to time.
