Responsibilities
  • Supervise your own team of service technicians (6-8 employees) to perform quality work in a timely manner
  • Assign and prioritize work to the correct service technician
  • Communicate directly with customers to diagnosis the work required and translate this directly to the service technician assigned to perform the work
  • Provide the customer with accurate repair estimates and keep the customers informed of the repair progress and any additional work required
  • Ensure repairs are carried out according to manufacturer’s procedures and in safe and responsible manner within the designated timeframe
  • Interpreting work orders and technical manuals
  • Assist in fault diagnosis and troubleshooting mechanical & electrical failures
  • Comply with warranty procedures during repairs and warranty materials on completion of repairs.
  • Testing and inspecting vehicles to ensure repairs are completed to manufacturers specifications and Government standards
  • Ensure service documentation is completed as per instructions.
  • Work with parts team to ensure the replacement parts are sourced for the repair in the most efficient way
  • Supervise and train technicians and apprentices with their work
  • Review completed work to ensure it meets the expected standards of quality
  • Review all work orders when the work is completed and before the customer is contacted
  • Ensure the department is clean and organized to maintain efficiency and meet required safety standards
  • Follows the correct processes and procedures when performing the role
  • Participates in any technical or development training that is made available
  • Perform the role in a professional manner that aligns with the Company’s’ values and ideals
