What You’ll do as Truck & Trailer Technician:

• Perform preventative maintenance
• Diagnose and repair truck and heavy trailer (jeeps, boosters, and 16-wheeler combos) issues
• Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
• Order parts needed to repair and maintain trucks and trailers
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance
• Maintain a clean and tidy personal work area and assist with general cleaning duties in a workshop environment
• Maintain daily record of all work tasks and materials
• Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, and streamline work processes

What You Bring to the Team:

• Journeyman Mechanic
• Minimum 3 years’ experience working on Peterbilt, Kenworth, Caterpillar, Cummings and Paccar Engines.
• Experienced and considerable knowledge of the methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in the maintenance and repair of various types of heavy trucks and lowbed trailers.
• Capable of preparing and maintaining accurate records and reports.
• Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, and streamline work processes.
• Ability to analyze and repair mechanical failures.
• Motivated, reliable and punctual self-starter.
• Analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills with strong attention to detail.
• Willing to be based out of a yard service truck. Occasional short notice, out of town and/or weekend repairs required.
• A valid Class 1 driver’s licence and a clean drivers abstract is preferred but a Class 5 driver’s license and a clean drivers abstract would be accepted.
• Must be professional dealing with customers
