Description:
Dependable Truck & Tank Limited was founded in 1975 and is, as it began, a family operated business. Our innovative design and engineering concepts allow us to manufacture cargo tanks, trailers and emergency vehicles to our client’s specifications. We manufacture versatile cargo tanks and trailer tankers for the distribution of petroleum products and other bulk related products. We also manufacture tankers for municipal maintenance applications. Our custom tanks range in size from 2000 liter truck-mounted units to 60,000 liter B-train unit.
We are currently looking to hire a Yard Coordinator for our new facility in Dartmouth.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Valid Class 1 and Class 5 license is required.
- Valid Transportation of Dangerous Goods Certificate a strong asset.
· Previous forklift experience is an asset
· Working in a fast-paced, high volume environment
· Read, write and speak English fluently
· Good verbal communication skills.
· Must be able to read and count accurately, do simple math, and write legibly.
· Must have great attention to detail.
· Must be able to work well with others.
· Willing to learn and can-do attitude, meticulous, team player, flexible and quick learner.
Responsibilities:
- Checking in trucks and verifying paperwork upon delivery
- Moving trucks and equipment around property to ensure orderly organization and accessibility
- Review trucks to ensure no damage or mechanical issues when unit dropped off
- Jump starting/boosting trucks when needed
- Picking up and dropping off customer trucks and trailers
- Aiding company tradesmen during the manufacturing process when needed
- Clean building floors by sweeping and tiding up truck bays.
- Organizing, help shipping and receiving put away material, parts, shop tools, machines, etc. on occasion
- Gather and empty trash into bins outside on occasion
- Move equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using fork lifts
- Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
- Other duties as assigned by manager.
