Job Type: Full-time with overtime
Experience: 3 year preferred (Will train)
Reports to: Territory Manager, Supervisory responsibility
Wage: $70,000 - $80,000 annually (based on experience and qualifications)

JOB SUMMARY:

The Trucking Manager will be responsible for overseeing the trucking/Rail division. The Trucking Manager is a full-time position that requires overtime through peak season, reports to the territory manager, and has supervisory responsibility.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Consent to authorization of a pre-employment work screen, Motor Vehicle Record request, and drug test.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Possess excellent communication skills and understand instructions in both written and verbal forms.
  • Dependability and reliability by showing up to scheduled shifts on time and being prepared for work.
  • A positive attitude is critical to ensure productive working relationships with co-workers and management.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and order cement rail cars.
  • Dispatch cement tanker delivery drivers.
  • Manage and run all heavy haul equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of various types of equipment (redi-mix trucks, loaders, dump trucks, backhoes, semi-trailers, aggregate crushers, etc.).
  • Oversee and assist with vehicle documents, including permits, DMV registration, DOT Licensing, etc.
  • Knowledge of weight restrictions.
  • Record any maintenance issues and ensure the supervisor is aware of any maintenance issues that would inhibit work production or create safety concerns.
  • Be prompt and timely for all assigned shifts, schedules, and projects.
  • Be aware of and familiar with the Company Handbook .
  • Actively participate in any recommended or mandatory training.
  • Additional duties as assigned by management, as this job description is non-exhaustive.
  • Willingness to perform duties outside the normal scope of work (i.e. outside normal hours).
