PBS Truss Manufacturing Ltd. is a 24,000 square foot truss manufacturing facility in Coldstream, BC. The plant was completed in December 2024. We are looking for hard working and experienced team members to join this exciting venture.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

  • Previous design experience, with preference given to truss and wall panel design.
  • Ability to read and understand construction documents.
  • Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time expeditiously to complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Good math skills including, but not limited to architectural units, fractions, geometry, and basic trigonometry
  • Understanding of or training in engineering and design concepts
  • Understanding of code requirements and loading conditions as they relate to truss structural design
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

PBS Truss Manufacturing Ltd. is looking for Truss Designers. The Truss Designer works with our design software to prepare truss layouts, designs and estimates for finished truss packages for various building component projects. Applicants should have some familiarity with truss design software and a desire to learn. Experience with both single family home design as well as multi-unit dwellings, and wall panel design experience is an asset.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build accurate 3D models from blueprints using specialized industry design software
  • Design trusses and floors for production - considering efficient use of material - and on time delivery.
  • Analyze technical documents and reports
  • Provide quotations to customers and process successful sales orders.
  • Other duties will be assigned by the Design Manager.
