TRUSS PLANT PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR

We are growing and expanding organization supplying builders in the Southern Ontario market. We are looking to hire a Truss Plant Production Supervisor.

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Truss Plant Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing production activities, ensuring quality standards are met, and leading a team of skilled workers. This role requires a strong understanding of wooden roof trusses, roof truss building processes, and the ability to effectively utilize various truss tools and automated machinery.

EXPERIENCE

• Proven experience in a supervisory role within a truss manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of roof trusses, assembly, fabrication, and sawing processes.
• Proficiency in operating forklifts and other industrial equipment safely.
• Familiarity with stacking trusses.
• Familiarity with MiTek Wizard tables is an asset.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

• Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to ensure efficient workflow.
• Oversee the assembly and fabrication of roof trusses, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
• Manage materials handling processes, including inventory control and proper storage techniques.
• Train and mentor team members on the safe operation of hand tools, power tools, and automated machinery.
• Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols and conducting regular inspections.
• Collaborate with other departments to optimize production schedules and resolve any operational issues.
• Monitor performance metrics and implement improvements as necessary to enhance productivity.
• Working in the manufacturing/warehouse environment.
• Working in and around the machinery/equipment powered and the associated safety risks.
