SUMMARY

Position would be responsible for developing, monitoring, and providing input and administering the Trust Compliance Management programs to ensure the bank trust department complies with all applicable trust compliance regulations. This position requires employees to work on-site.

QUALIFICATIONS |EDUCATION | EXPERIENCE:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Candidate must be at a minimum, 18 years of age.
  • Bachelor?s degree required.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the trust regulatory requirements related to the origination and servicing of trust products, including knowledge of federal and state trust rules and regulations.
  • Proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, typing, 10-key and utilization of the internet is required.
  • Willingness to demonstrate Core 5 values with customers and coworkers.
    HOURS OF AVAILABILITY: Regularly Scheduled Hours: 40 (+) Hours per week | Monday- Friday 8:00am-5:00pm | *Extended working hours may be required.

Responsibilities
  • Develop relationships of trust and confidence with designated lines of business.
  • Research federal, state, banking and trust laws and regulations and assist in their interpretation and implementation. Align risk management practices with strategic goals and objectives. Keep up to date on new laws and regulations.
  • Assist with corporate policy and training development.
  • Assist in overseeing actions of comprehensive self-testing, independent third party and regulatory audits.
  • Make necessary preparations for trust audits or exams. Coordinate responses to external auditors and regulatory examiners. Ensure deficiencies identified from such audits and examinations are corrected.
  • Proactively identify process improvements or control gaps and facilitate necessary changes.
  • Ensure compliance risks are effectively identified, measured, monitored, controlled, and are consistent with the bank?s risk appetite statement and all policies and processes are established within the risk governance framework.
  • Assist in drafting responses to regulatory inquiries and assist with responses to information requests and reviews by internal audits and regulators.
  • Participate in the review of new products, services, and pricing.
  • Educate and provide consultative advice on related regulations.
  • Identify and assess key compliance risks.
  • Perform targeted reviews or other risk assessment activity as deemed necessary by ongoing monitoring and reporting.
  • Operate computer software and equipment, telephone, scanner and copier. Expected to become proficient with internal bank and trust software. Required to gain knowledge including but not limited to: privacy, safeguarding customer information, trust compliance and trust regulations.
  • Adhere to strict privacy regarding customer account information. Maintain customer confidence and protect bank operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Arrive to work on time, work on-site and collaborate with other coworkers. Willingness to extend working hours where necessary to accommodate the completion of varied tasks on behalf of the customers.
  • Business travel is an integral part of this position. Therefore, a valid driver?s license and a personal vehicle that can be used for business travel purposes is required.
  • Additional duties may be assigned or required by management.
    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
