JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for providing a high level of support to the Health and Welfare Trust Fund team. The position will require coordinating data and quotes with alternate vendors on behalf of the team, while maintaining data integrity and electronic file system organization. We expect that over time the Trust Fund Analyst will be autonomous in managing their day-to-day functions, while maintaining the ability to work with the team. They should be able to manage a workload of varying volume based on deadlines, and work with technical reports on a regular basis.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Effective communication skills required, with mathematical aptitude preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and part of a team in stressful situations.
  • Effective interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • In-depth experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office products, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Responsibilities
  • Use client data to market lines of coverage of varying complexity to vendors and third parties upon request from the account team. Work with TF Data Analyst to gather required data documents for RFPs.
  • Maintain team data integrity through organization and electronic records management.
  • Assist with coordination for the account team to assemble client presentation materials in advance of meetings, allowing time for team review and revision, as needed.
  • Responsible for intra-team communication regarding TF meeting follow up and post meeting agenda items.
  • Become familiar with modern trends in the industry, such as new drugs and procedures arising in healthcare, and cost containment methods to manage rising healthcare costs.
  • Assist the team to produce monthly newsletters for clients related to general health information and policy updates as needed.
  • Manage the Renewal/Marketing Process including but limited to:


    • Gather vendor information and/or information from clients for marketing purposes

    • Work with TF Data Analyst to gather required data documents for RFPs.
    • Organize census data
    • Prepare RFP (request for proposal) and send to carriers
    • Participate in other work of Salus Consulting where volume or absence warrants, such as ad hoc reporting, special projects, and working cohesively with other departments.
