About the Role We are recruiting a Trust Leadership Team (TLT) Business Manager to provide high-level strategic, operational and management support to our Medical Director, who leads the Portsmouth Hospital University NHS Trust (PHU) TLT. This is a pivotal role, ensuring the smooth running, alignment and effectiveness of the Trust Leadership Team as it oversees key organisational priorities. You will be at the centre of coordinating decision-making, tracking progress against programmes of work, and ensuring risks and issues are identified, escalated and resolved in a timely and effective manner. What You Will Be Doing Using your strong organisational, analytical and interpersonal capabilities, you will: Lead and manage the business of the TLT office, ensuring high-quality, timely delivery of agreed objectives Coordinate key organisational priorities, synthesising information and providing assurance to the Medical Director and Executive Team Prepare high-quality briefings, reports and presentations to support effective executive decision-making Manage the weekly Trust Leadership Team meeting, ensuring agendas, papers, actions and follow-up activity are planned, monitored and delivered Track progress of programmes of work, highlight emerging risks, and drive completion of actions across senior stakeholders Lead or support sensitive projects and investigations with organisation-wide impact Use diplomacy, tact and problem-solving skills to unblock issues and maintain momentum in a complex system Represent the TLT at internal and external meetings, supporting partnership working across the health and care system About You You will bring: Significant experience operating in a fast-paced NHS or complex healthcare environment A proven track record of delivering results, leading programmes of work and influencing senior leaders Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to write high-quality briefings and present complex information clearly Outstanding organisational capability — thriving under pressure, managing competing deadlines, and maintaining accuracy at pace Strong analytical insight, with the ability to interpret data, understand problems and identify solutions The confidence to act with delegated authority, using sound judgement and maintaining confidentiality at all times Why Join PHU?
