Truterra Technical Product Owner
Job Title: Truterra Technical Product Owner
Support Truterra’s technology platform and be responsible for product strategy, collaborating with key business leadership to drive product team prioritization and execution. Develop solutions using Azure DevOps, SDLC, solutions design, and delivery of enterprise-level solutions using Agile/Scrum methodology. Work in agriculture industry with carbon-specific data, related analysis, testing, validation and reporting within carbon credit market, registration body standards (including CAR, Verra, SBTi, and GHG Protocol), and technical modeling solutions. Ensure development and maintenance of strategic product roadmap in collaboration with IT leadership and other key stakeholders. Collaborate with strategic leaders to develop long-term product vision, enabling Truterra programs and services. Utilize and apply database management and data flow. Influence prioritization of competing business priorities with stakeholders through management of requests to product team. Provide clear direction to product team during sprint process by leading sprint reviews and participating in sprint planning, story refinement, and retrospectives. Work with third-party providers enabling platform data integrations. Enable feedback loop for direct communication between end users and product team via iterative approach to product development increasing speed to value. Contribute to corporate social responsibility reporting and global sustainability reporting. Develop understanding of product domain outside enterprise. Leverage technical and scientific background to discover new product opportunities, including agriculture technology, application of data standards for agriculture supply chain, sustainable agriculture, supply chain traceability, and GHG accounting.
5% national travel on a quarterly basis for meetings and events (industry conferences, customer meetings/events, workshop planning meetings).
Position is open to telecommuting from anywhere in the United States.

REQUIREMENTS:

Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management and Analytics, Agriculture, Applied Sciences, or a related field and 5 years of experience as a Supply Chain Analyst, Business Analyst, Project/Program Manager, Technology Consultant, or related occupation in agriculture technology OR Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management and Analytics, Agriculture, Applied Sciences, or a related field and 7 years of experience as a Supply Chain Analyst, Business Analyst, Project/Program Manager, Technology Consultant, or related occupation in agriculture technology

Requires 7 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of experience with a Master’s degree in the following:

  • SDLC, solutions design, and delivery of enterprise-level solutions using Agile/Scrum methodology;
  • Utilization and application of database management and data flow;
  • Working in the agriculture industry with carbon-specific data, related analysis, testing, validation, and reporting; and
  • Understanding of data standards for agriculture supply chain and sustainable agriculture.

Requires 5 years of experience in the following:

  • Working within the carbon credit market, registration body standards (CAR, Verra, SBTi, GHG Protocol), and technical modeling solutions;
  • Product knowledge of supply chain traceability and GHG accounting;
  • Working on corporate social responsibility reporting and global sustainability reporting;
  • Working with third-party providers enabling platform data integrations; and
  • Azure DevOps.
