Description Primary Location: Rosslyn, VA or Springfield, VA Clearance: Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility Ability to work remotely: No Obsidian Solutions Group is seeking a TSCM Inspector uses specialized countermeasures techniques and advanced equipment to ensure no clandestine devices are present in secure facilities. They help define mission scope based on current threats, manage equipment logistics, and recommend improvements to detection capabilities. The role includes preparing detailed inspection reports, supporting compliance with relevant directives, advising senior leadership, and assisting with various security issues. The inspector also manages data throughout its lifecycle to support inspections, reporting, and inventory needs. Requirements Specific Responsibilities: Assists in determining the scope for each TSCM mission using current threat and intelligence information. Supports equipment logistics and verifies operational status. Applies field experience and physical science knowledge to recommend new detection equipment. Executes security-related tasks in accordance with ICD 702 and Department of State policies. Provides recommendations to senior leadership to enhance the TSCM inspection program and supports establishing and monitoring program milestones. Prepares written reports for senior leadership and interagency partners detailing inspection findings and recommendations. Maintains proficiency in all areas of TSCM inspection and assists with technical, physical, construction, and transit security issues. Manages data throughout its lifecycle—collection, management, analysis, reporting, and secure disposition—to support inspections, reporting, and inventory requirements. Requirements/Qualifications: Current U.S. Government final Top Secret clearance and approved for SCI access upon employment. Eligible for and able to obtain and maintain required security clearance/access approvals. Minimum of three years of experience conducting technical surveillance countermeasures. Undergraduate degree from a regionally accredited college is desired. Interagency Training Center certification required. Superior interpersonal skills required. Specific knowledge of technical surveillance countermeasures (TSCM) mission collection methods. Certification from the Interagency Training Center’s TSCM Fundamentals Course required. Knowledge and understanding of Intelligence Community standards and directives, including ICD 705. Substantive knowledge and understanding of regulations governing the use of classified materials. Ability to interact with groups or individuals outside their own organization and/or agency. Working knowledge of radio frequency (RF) countermeasures systems required. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook. Demonstrated experience working with data throughout its lifecycle, including collection, management, analysis, reporting, and secure disposition. Position requires self-motivation and a high level of discretion to work effectively under a minimum level of supervision. Must demonstrate a good attitude and ability to work as a member of a team. Ability to multi-task efficiently, work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects and maintain strong attention to detail. Travel: 25-50% CONUS and OCONUS travel may be required for program coordination. May be required to travel OCONUS to conduct installation, training, or maintenance at diplomatic facilities. OCONUS travel may include critical threat locations around the world with austere living conditions. Domestic travel may be required.
