JOB DESCRIPTION:

Parsons is looking for a talented TSCM/IPMS Technician to join our team! In this role, you will ensure the IPMS console is staffed, signals and anomalies meeting established threat thresholds are resolved within required timeframes, and all related activities support modernization goals and objectives. You will maintain familiarization with governing national and agency-level policies, ensuring compliance with reporting, training requirements, and other regulatory guidelines.

WHAT REQUIRED SKILLS YOU’LL BRING:

  • Experience writing and editing technical documents.
  • Experience with RF theory and direction finding.
  • Interagency Training Center (ITC) TSCM Certification.
  • Completion of at least 40 hours of discipline-specific development or refresher training every fiscal year (training delivery may include classroom, online, or commercially available training).
  • Meeting minimum training requirements within one calendar year of assignment for access to DoD networks in accordance with DoDD 8140.01, by attaining and maintaining at least baseline certification for DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technician Level II (IAT2) compliance.

WHAT DESIRED SKILLS YOU’LL BRING:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Credentialed graduate of an accredited federal or DoD CI training academy (e.g., FBI Academy).

Responsibilities
  • Operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting the garrison IPMS, resolving and coordinating IPMS anomalies with TSCM personnel.
  • Researching and investigating new or improved industry practices and tradecraft for application to IPMS programs and operations.
  • Conducting daily IPMS activities, including:
  • Performing daily tactical and strategic analysis according to procedure guides and established timeframes.
  • Performing daily, monthly, and annual operations and maintenance tasks according to established policies and timeframes.
  • Identifying and troubleshooting system malfunctions and reporting findings/status to customers.
  • Performing Radio Frequency (RF) signal of interest-related searches.
  • Assessing and locating signals of interest discovered during surveys, system notifications, and IPMS operations.
  • Conducting TSCM operations consistent with National and DoD policies governing the employment of TSCM tactics, techniques, and procedures.
  • Ensuring compliance with ICD 705, Physical Security Standards for SCIFs, and DoD standards for collateral areas.
  • Identifying physical and acoustical security deficiencies and developing corrective actions to mitigate identified deficiencies.
  • Analyzing complex physical and technical security issues and providing cost-effective recommendations that meet policy requirements.
  • Assisting with maintenance and day-to-day monitoring of the IPMS program to maintain mission functionality and authorization to operate in the enterprise environment.
  • Determining best practices related to IPMS and wireless efforts.
  • Ensuring personnel assigned to the IPMS mission are trained in accordance with National standards for TSCM operations and are qualified to operate the in-garrison IPMS.
