ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES Operate tufting machines and replace needles, loopers and knives. While machine is running, inspect carpet quality and defects such as breaks, pull-downs, low lines. ssist drop-off of rolls and maintain production records. Housekeeping and other duties necessary to maintain the necessary levels of production. EXPERIENCE OR REQUIREMENTS * Six months experience as a Mender. * Knowledge of carpet quality standards. * Must have basic tools (screwdriver, pliers, etc) * Special tools will be provided by the company * Basic reading skills to read and understand numerical and alphabetical lot numbers. * Work overtime as needed, including weekends. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES Frequent: Handle, manual dexterity, lift 15-20 lbs., reach, stand, stoop, and walk. Use personal protective equipment. Occasional: Balance, climb, crawl, crouch, grasp, hear, kneel, and speak. Required: Close vision, color and depth perception. ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS General warehouse environment. Background noise, dirt, oil, humidity, temperature variations. Work near moving mechanical parts. Please note that if you have been transferred to your shift within the past six months, you may not be eligible to change shifts. However, you may be eligible to be considered for a different job within your dept. should you meet the above requirements. Responsibilities

The operator is responsible for running tufting machines, which includes replacing components like needles, loopers, and knives. Essential duties also involve inspecting the carpet quality for defects while the machine is running and assisting with roll drop-off while maintaining production records.
