As the Tunneling Surveyor, you will be required to: Carry out all surveys to control the position and alignment of the tunnel primary SCL lining and secondary lining concrete shutter Manage and Transfer Tunnel Control during tunneling works Transfer tunnel survey control using the high-end equipment between primary and secondary linings Prepare documentation including writing reports, graphical displays for submission and for review Advance and maintain the survey control during the tunnel primary SCL and secondary lining works including installing all survey fixings Manage SCL tunnel profiles using Amberg and producing profiles for daily SRG from SCL Engineer Data Set-out the secondary lining shutter and liaise with the tunnel engineers Carry out Wriggle and as built surveys and assist lining scanning Implement the processes for storing and managing the data and its subsequent retrieval for use in the design process Develop and document quality checks and redundancy of data as part of control verification Use Starnet least squares network adjustment software Where required, supervise the chainperson, assistant engineers/ surveyors and liaise with section foremen Keep a full and accurate daily site diary, including any changes/ variations, subcontractors attendance, and records of work related discussions with client / designer/ RE / project team Promote and maintain a positive safety culture on the project Personal Qualities and Experience: Thorough knowledge of surveying procedures and working methods Expertise in surveying and setting-out on major civil engineering projects Knowledge of tunnel surveying Successful experience with a major civil engineering contractor within the survey department Software experience required Starnet and Amberg Microsoft Office skills Professional Land Surveying qualification (Degree/ Diploma level or equivalent) The skills to work independently with a very high accuracy and delivering results on time Good attendance and timekeeping Ability to work collaboratively within a team to achieve deadlines A collaborative approach to maintain working relationships with internal and external customers and stakeholder
