At Green by Nature, we take pride in maintaining sports fields, cricket wickets, and both private and public green spaces. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Turf Manager to join our dedicated team. This role is pivotal in overseeing all aspects of turf and garden maintenance, client management, quality control, staff development, and compliance throughout this first-class facility.
As our Turf Manager, you will collaborate closely with clients and internal staff to ensure that all turf wickets, outfields, surrounds, and gardens in this premier cricket facility are executed efficiently and effectively.
Your extensive knowledge of first-class cricket turf management practices, combined with your strong organisational and leadership skills, will be key to your success in this role.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• A certificate 3 qualification in Sports Turf Management is essential
• Proven experience in turf management (cricket) or related role
• Excellent organisational and project management skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• A positive attitude towards working safely and a commitment to upholding our company’s health and safety culture

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE:

In this position, you will be entrusted with maintaining the highest standards of turf management, ensuring that client requirements are met while fostering a positive team environment. You will lead a team of turf maintenance staff, supporting their development and ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee all turf maintenance aspects of a first-class cricket venue
• Ensure ongoing improvements to client grounds and gardens are identified and implemented
• Develop and maintain accurate records of all turf maintenance activities
• Manage a roster system for staff allocation and performance
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of contracts
• Lead by example, supervising and providing guidance to the turf maintenance staff
• Facilitate training opportunities for team development and progression of your staff within the company
