Description

Crystal Clear Testing is looking for multiple NDE inspectors to support upcoming turnaround scopes in 2026. These turnarounds vary in duration and length and we are looking for all different levels of CGSB certified inspectors to support.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Turnaround NDE Inspector will support planned shutdowns and turnarounds by executing field inspections in compliance with client, regulatory, and code requirements. This is a fast-paced role that requires technical expertise, teamwork, and strict adherence to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform NDE techniques including:
  • Ultrasonic Testing (UT/SWUT)
  • Magnetic Particle Testing (MT/WFMT)
  • Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT)
  • Support API and ABSA in-service inspectors with inspection findings.
  • Collect, interpret, and report inspection data with accuracy and clarity.
  • Ensure compliance with ABSA, API, ASME, CSA, and client requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with client turnaround teams, contractors, and engineers.
  • Promote a strong safety culture in all field activities.

Qualifications

  • CGSB Level I or II in relevant methods (UT, MT, PT, RT considered an asset).
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in NDE within oil & gas or petrochemical facilities.
  • Previous turnaround or shutdown experience strongly preferred.
  • Valid safety certifications: CSTS/CSO, H2S Alive, First Aid, Confined Space/Rescue, Fall Protection, etc.
  • Strong technical reporting and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in high-paced environments with tight turnaround schedules.
