Wood is currently recruiting for a driven and ambitious Turnaround Planning Superintendent on a casual basis for 3 months initially on an 8/6 roster with 11hr days. Flights and accommodation provided and the opportunity to extend to a permanent role.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

You will be responsible for leading the delivery of mechanical planning, estimating and work packing for a key Turnaround, including the performance of the team to deliver support enabling the effective delivery of work for the contract. Your role will be responsible for assuring that our work processes and structure are aligned to best practice to achieve our business outcomes and continuous improvement.

THE KEY OBJECTIVES FOR THIS ROLE ARE:

The scope for Planning includes the provision of Project Management personnel, required to assist in completing detailed planning of the ‘execution’ work scope. This will include, but not be limited to, the following tasks:

  • Review and confirm scope, work method, labour, material and tooling estimates for individual parcels of work
  • Review of key Turnaround plans – HSE, Quality, Logistics, etc.
  • Development of Workpack content
  • Establishing service levels for Project Management, Plant, Equipment, Tooling and Consumables

  • Relevant experience and knowledge in a similar / equivalent role
  • Proven experience working on Turnarounds, specifically with mechanical type contracts
  • Major Hazard Facility or Oil and Gas experience preferred, ideally with some exposure to working in remote location
