Join Uptown Properties as a Turnover Technician! We’re hiring a skilled, dependable Maintenance Technician to handle repairs and turnovers for our residential properties in Portland. TURNOVER TECHNICIAN

Location: Portland, OR (On-site)

Do you take pride in fixing things right the first time? Uptown Properties is looking for a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining the quality, safety, and comfort of the rental homes we manage. We’re looking for someone who’s proactive, communicative, and detail-oriented — someone who enjoys solving problems and providing valuable service to both residents and property owners.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years of general maintenance or handyman experience (residential preferred)
  • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Knowledge of common tools and equipment; able to lift 50+ lbs
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (mileage reimbursement provided)
  • Ability to use property management software or work order systems (training provided)

Responsibilities
  • Respond promptly to turnover completion requests from Turnover Coordinator
  • Perform general repairs, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and appliance troubleshooting
  • Complete unit turnovers in a timely manner.
  • Assess repair needs and communicate scope of work, material needs, and timelines clearly
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed
  • Ensure all work meets Uptown’s quality standards and safety guidelines
  • Maintain accurate documentation of completed work and time logs
