Description

The Turnover Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing project turnover activities to ensure systems are completed, tested, documented, and handed over in line with project requirements. The role works closely with project teams, subcontractors, commissioning teams, quality teams, and clients to ensure turnover requirements are met and milestones are achieved.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage project turnover activities to ensure systems are completed, tested, documented, and handed over in line with project requirements.
  • Develop Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and review QA/QC and Commissioning (Cx) plans.
  • Implement project turnover strategies and manage digital turnover packages and platforms.
  • Work closely with project teams, subcontractors, commissioning teams, quality teams, and clients to ensure turnover requirements are met and milestones are achieved.
  • Monitor turnover progress and manage quality and test records.
  • Drive the closure of punch list items.
  • Conduct audits and inspections and support audit activities.
  • Prepare status reports and provide regular updates to internal and client stakeholders.
  • Deliver training on turnover processes.
  • Raise quality or sequencing concerns when identified.
  • Ensure all project information is handled confidentially and in accordance with company and legal requirements.

Key Requirements:

  • Degree or relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience in project turnover, QA/QC, commissioning, construction, or project delivery, preferably within data centre, HV, or other large-scale construction projects.
  • Experience supporting and coordinating project turnover activities, including the management of project documentation, quality records, test records, punch list items, and handover requirements.
  • Understanding of the L1 to L5 Data Centre QCx process and the different stages of quality control, testing, commissioning, and project turnover.
  • Good knowledge of the electrical installation of HV and LV systems, including installation, testing, and handover requirements.
  • Familiarity with the use of BIM360 / ACC project management platforms, as well as the Cx Alloy Platform, for managing and tracking project documentation and turnover information.
  • Ability to understand and review QA/QC documentation, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), commissioning plans, and associated quality and test records.
  • Strong understanding of project turnover processes and the documentation requirements necessary to support the successful completion and handover of systems.
  • Willingness to travel.
