ABOUT THE ROLE:

The primary role is to provide a high level of care and comfort and wellbeing of all persons attending the event.
Turnstile Operators should present themselves in a positive, courteous and professional manner at all times, and be focused on maximising every opportunity to enhance the customer experience.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To provide an excellent service to Home/Away supporters.
  • To attend the match briefing as given by the Turnstile Supervisor on behalf of the Safety & Security Officer and to understand the ticketing arrangements for each fixture.
  • To correctly sign on duty, indicate availability for next games and correctly sign off duty when their duties have been concluded.
  • To ensure that the area around their designated turnstile is clear of obstructions and operates freely. Any issues must be reported to the Turnstile Supervisors immediately.
  • To correctly operate the respective ticket scanning device
  • To work with Safety Stewards on duty at turnstiles to prevent those persons refused entry for any reason from gaining access to the stadium.
Stewards are expected to enforce breaches of ground regulations, but not be routinely involved in searching or carrying out ejections, as these are roles a Supervisor or specially trained stewards will perform. No previous experience is required as full training will be provided
