JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking dedicated and passionate tutors to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to help students achieve their academic goals and develop a love for learning. This role involves working closely with students of various ages, providing personalized instruction and support during in-person tutoring sessions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1+ Years University/College (preferred)
  • Access to a vehicle and the ability to reliably commute to tutoring sessions
  • Knowledge of the Alberta curriculum (preferred)
  • Proficient knowledge in one or more subjects: English, French, math, biology, chemistry, physics, Spanish, Economics
  • Must live in Calgary, AB Canada at time of applying
  • Fluent in English

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid Driver’s License and vehicle access (required)
  • Availability: weeknights (4:00 - 9:00pm) and some weekends. You choose your own schedule.
  • Must be fluent in English and have excellent communication skills.
  • Must complete criminal background check/vulnerability screening
  • Familiar with the Alberta CBE curriculum
Responsibilities
  • Assess students’ academic needs and develop tailored lesson plans to address their specific challenges.
  • Provide instruction in various subjects, ensuring that concepts are understood and retained.
  • Communicate effectively with students to encourage participation and build confidence in their abilities.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods as necessary to ensure optimal learning outcomes.
  • Create a positive and motivating atmosphere that encourages student engagement and enthusiasm for learning.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and provide feedback to parents or guardians when appropriate.
