Reports to:  Dean/Director of Nursing   Position Summary:  Nursing Student Tutor provides students with the academic assistance that will help the student to acquire the knowledge and practice the skills identified in course objectives using varied and appropriate teaching methods.  Tutor plans learning activities to meet student need based on the standards set by policies, legal and other regulatory requirements, and acceptable practices.     Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Assist students in targeted subject areas via individual or group tutoring * Host workshops on selected topics * Model and encourage collaborative study strategies * Create and manage resources for academic assistance * Provides feedback to the student on grammar & syntax and paper format that includes title page, introduction, body, conclusion, and reference page, including use of APA format. * Contribute to a friendly and productive learning environment * Meet regularly with supervisor to provide documentation of student academic support. * Communicates with the Dean/Director of Nursing as necessary to resolve issues or concerns * Regular and reliable attendance. * Other duties as assigned.
