Job Summary

I am looking for a Tutor to support students in achieving their academic goals. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching, strong communication skills, and preferably some experience in working with kids. This role involves providing personalized instruction in various subjects, including Math, Computer Science, and other core areas, to help students improve their understanding and confidence. The Tutor will play an important role in updating myself with the students progress, as well as the parents.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions tailored to individual student needs.
  • Assist students with homework, test preparation, and understanding complex concepts across subjects such as Math, English, Science
  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents or guardians.
  • Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
  • Maintain a positive, encouraging atmosphere that motivates students to participate actively.
  • Collaborate with myself and parents to identify areas for improvement and set achievable academic goals.

Requirements

  • Prior experience working with children in an educational or tutoring setting is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Math, Computer Science, or related subjects; classroom experience is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect effectively with students of diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to create engaging lesson plans and adapt teaching strategies as needed.
  • Familiarity with computer skills necessary for online tutoring platforms or educational software.
  • Experience with Special Education or differentiated instruction is advantageous.
  • Reliable, patient, and committed to supporting student success.

Job Types: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour
