This is not merely a job! But an opportunity to operate and profit share in an established successful business!
I don’t want this to sound like a business pitch, because it’s not. I run a Northern Rivers based TV / AV business which is too busy for the number of staff we have. I just don’t employ people on wages but instead I train you to be independent and responsible for your own reward under a profit share remuneration, which typically averages $500-$800 per day working relatively short hours. I find this arrangement works best because you have more freedom, you’re directly rewarded for your skills and efforts and I don’t have to micro manage you.
Although we’re a team, once you’re trained you will operate independently on a day-to-day basis. You’ll be running your own work van like us, sharing in the work that comes in. This means booking in your own jobs (customers call you direct), visiting several customers a day, making the sale, completing the work, up-selling, keeping your van stocked, taking payment from customers, handling your own affairs basically.
Work hours and days is up to you, but obviously under a profit share arrangement if you’re not working there’s no $ and to succeed you’re going to need to answer the customer calls when they ring and we have no control over this, people call at all hours and days; if you don’t answer you’ve lost a job opportunity as they usually ring the next tradie straight away.
This is a long-term position, training takes 3-6 months and is paid at $200 per day until you’re confident to operate independently
Who we are looking for? A go-getter who’s:
* Confident with handyman tools, trade type experience
* Confident with technology, TVs, setting up streaming apps etc.
* Comfortable working on top of roofs, using ladders, working inside ceilings, can fit into narrow spaces to get in & out of roof spaces.
* Excellent money management skills, you’ll be paying credit accounts, collecting customer payments, saving money for tax obligations.
* Eagerness to maximize their income through salesmanship. Very Important.
* Have a clear, easy to understand voice in person and on the phone.
* Confidence in dealing with everyday people.
* No plans to move away from the Sunshine Coast in the next 5 years
* Full open manual car license with good track record
* Have suitable parking for a work vehicle with 2.4m height clearance. (Once trained.)
* A reliable personal vehicle and transport to Goonellabah for training.
