Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Thiess is on the lookout for a skilled Tyre Fitter to join our team at the Peak Downs coal mining project on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll be part of a high-performing crew focused on safety, quality, and delivering real results.

IN THIS HANDS-ON ROLE, YOU’LL:

  • Remove and fit rims and wheel assemblies on heavy earthmoving equipment
  • Remove and refit tyres as needed to keep our fleet running efficiently
  • Perform routine tyre pressure checks and report any issues
  • Access and interpret technical manuals, bulletins, and digital resources
  • Take proactive steps to prevent equipment issues and raise any concerns through the right channels
  • Work in alignment with site procedures and safety standards
