Description
Leadership • Lead the effective achievement of UAE through the leadership of the ICAO Office function and departments, setting individual objectives, managing performance, recruiting qualified staff, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal, in order to maximise performance. • Advise Director General and MOFAIC on ICAO-related issues, and oversee the UAE relationship with ICAO, as well as other ICAO member states in order to position UAE in a leading role at ICAO. • Implement soft power strategies that are in-line with the UAE government vision. • Implement international cooperation programs for ICAO Council state members and their regions to maximize the UAE impact on the international level. • Build and Manage a solid communication paths with ICAO Council Members to have a smooth access for implementing soft power strategies and get the required support from council members. • Develop the broad functional strategy and ensure that the vision, mission and strategy are cascaded down to the departments to ensure vertical alignment and horizontal integration of all functional strategies across GCAA. • Ensure that departmental strategies and related strategic plans are developed and implemented, which are aligned with the vision of The UAE. • Promote the Startgical political and economic interested of the UAE through effective diplomacy • Strengthen the international relation and cooperation between UAE and other ICAO Member states. • Implementing soft power strategies that are in-line with the UAE government vision. • Lead and direct the management of change through continuous improvement of functional systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, changes in international standards and changes in the business environment which demand proactive action plans.
