Job Purpose The UAE National Assistant Planner will support the Planning team in delivering accurate inventory, replenishment and allocation activities to maximise product availability and commercial performance. This role combines hands‑on operational planning with cross‑functional coordination across Merchandising, Buying, Logistics and Commercial teams to ensure the right product is in the right place, at the right time. The role is ideal for a UAE national seeking to develop a career in retail planning within a fast‑paced e‑commerce environment, with exposure to forecasting, stock management and route‑to‑market processes. Reporting, Interaction Lines & Relationships Reports to Senior Planner / Planning Manager Key Internal Relationships Merchandising & Buying Commercial and Category Teams Logistics & Fulfilment Sales and Customer Care Analytics / Business Intelligence Product and Technology teams Key External Relationships Suppliers and Brands Third‑party logistics partners Local distribution and delivery providers Essential Roles & Responsibilities Inventory Planning & Replenishment Support weekly and monthly inventory reviews, monitoring stock levels and helping to maintain optimum availability across channels Prepare replenishment recommendations based on sales trends, lead times and safety stock parameters Assist in executing purchase orders and monitoring inbound shipments to ensure timely receipt and allocation Help maintain accurate master data for SKUs, locations and lead times Allocation & Range Support Support allocation processes to distribute stock between warehouses, stores and online channels according to demand and commercial priorities Assist with pre‑launch and seasonal planning activities, including stock builds and markdown planning Work with Merchandising to understand product lifecycles and take part in range reviews Reporting & Analysis Produce routine reports on sell‑through, cover, ageing and stock accuracy to support decision making Monitor key planning metrics and highlight risks or opportunities to senior planners Support ad hoc analysis and simple forecasting tasks using historical sales and trend data Operational & Cross‑Functional Support Collaborate with Logistics and Operations to track fulfilment performance and resolve stock discrepancies Support Sales and Marketing initiatives by ensuring stock readiness for campaigns and promotions Maintain planning tools and systems, ensuring data accuracy and timely updates Contribute to process improvement projects to increase efficiency and accuracy Job Requirements Education Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience Experience 0–2 years’ experience in planning, inventory management, merchandising support or retail operations; internships or graduate placements are applicable Experience with ERP, order management or planning tools is advantageous but not essential Knowledge & Skills Strong numerical ability and attention to detail Good organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets; comfortable working with data and basic formulas Clear written and verbal communication skills in English Fluency in Arabic is desirable and beneficial for this UAE National role Ability to work collaboratively across teams and escalate issues appropriately Curiosity for commercial drivers and a desire to learn forecasting and planning techniques Core Competencies Analytical Thinking Attention to Detail Collaboration Customer Focus Problem Solving KPIs Stock availability and sell‑through rates Accuracy of replenishment recommendations Timeliness of order execution and allocations Quality and accuracy of planning data and reports What's in it for you...
