Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master´s Degree in Aeronautical Engineering
  • 3-5 years of Engineering experience
  • Knowledge of aviation law and certification regulations (CS23, CS27, military requirements). Knowledge of Stanag 4671 is an advantage.
  • Experience in UAS related national (German) and international operational regulations
  • Experience in design engineering is an advantage (e.g. Structure, General System, Avionics, Armament)
  • Experience in negotiations with external, international Partners
  • Leadership experience (communication skills, negotiation skills, moderation skills)
  • Business fluent in German and English
  • Emphatic team player with positive and proactive attitude, capable of problem solving and critical thinking

Responsibilities

As a Certification Engineer within our Airworthiness & Product Integrity Centre of Competence, your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct Type Certification activities:
  • establish the type certification basis and type design definition
  • develop compliance demonstration programs
  • Manage certification projects with AAs (Airworthiness Authorities)
  • Release airworthiness documentation to the AA, i.e. perform airworthiness approvals in accordance with Airbus Design Organization Approval (DOA) privileges
  • Manage the internal Airbus Airworthiness & Engineering network to ensure certification objectives are met
  • Coordinate with Airworthiness Process stakeholders within an international working environment
  • Conduct Airworthiness Assurance activities: ensure that organizational approval requirements (Design Organization Approval - DOA) are fulfilled and maintained
  • Monitor and validate Airworthiness deliverables and the associated processes for compliance with EMAR/DEMAR 21
