This position is supporting the teaching and research mission of the Center for Aviation Studies, the College of Engineering, and The Ohio State University, by a Workforce Development Grant from the FAA. This position will work with high schools and community organizations across the state of Ohio to establish robust Remote Pilot training programs. This position will require travel throughout the state more than 50% of the time.
Utilizes a variety of fixed-wing and multirotor platforms, this position will provide instruction for high schools across Ohio, complete demonstration flights, and mentor high school educators as they continue to build remote pilot training programs in their schools. This position will also lead crew development and management with students and partners as well as strategic planning of equipment acquisition and maintenance.
Develops and teaches UAS training for platforms and projects for faculty/staff/students at OSU and outside partners. Assist with developing policies and SOP’s. Maintain Inventory control of Ohio State owned UAS platforms. Conduct preventive maintenance on UAS platforms and support equipment.

The target hiring range for this job profile is $22.93- $29.95. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limit to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.
