Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an Unified Communications Administrator to join a National Defense Contract in Washington, DC through 100% on site presence. The Unified Communications Administrator will support secure enterprise communications by maintaining, upgrading & troubleshooting secure Cisco UC systems, resolving service tickets, optimizing performance, and supporting technical refresh projects.

Responsibilities of the Unified Communications Administrator include:

  • Perform system upgrades, IOS updates & apply IAVA patches to Cisco Unified Call Manager
  • Troubleshoot UC system failures, resolve service tickets, and conduct root cause analyses
  • Monitor system performance & recommend improvements to enhance efficiency & reliability
  • Draft & update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) & contribute to UC knowledge management
  • Collaborate with NOC & operations teams to resolve complex support issues & implement platform changes
  • Mange inventory & asset accountability for US hardware & components
  • Lead or support UC implementation & technical refresh projects across sites or locations

Qualifications of the Unified Communications Administrator include:

  • 9+ years of experience with High School/GED; 7+ with Associate’s; 5+ with Bachelor’s; 3+ with Master’s
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain a CI polygraph
  • IAT Level II Certification (ie Security+)
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco Unified Call Manager including system upgrades & patching
  • Strong troubleshooting & root cause analysis skills in UC environments
  • Ability to draft SOPs, update knowledge articles, and manage UC documentation
  • Proven ability to work independently & collaborate across NOC & engineering teams in a secure setting

Compensation for the Unified Communications Administrator includes:

  • Salary Range: $160,000-195,000 depending on experience
