We are seeking an experienced, innovative, and enthusiastic Service Manager to join our exciting new Universities of Cambridge and Anglia Ruskin Mental Health Student Service (UCARMHSS) pilot which is set to launch in 2025.
This new service will offer multiple pathways: psychiatry, psychology, and care coordination, allowing students to access tailored interventions. The goal is to improve access to support for students’ mental health, inform about available support, and guide them in managing their mental health.

KEY FEATURES OF THE SERVICE INCLUDE:

• A focus on student needs rather than diagnosis, with every referral undergoing thorough triage and, where necessary, formulation assessments.
• Proactive support to help students succeed academically and socially at university.
• Flexible access to services, with face-to-face, telephone, video, and other online options available to meet individual preferences.
• Comprehensive care coordination, encompassing assessment, case management, self-management support, and liaison with university services.
  To lead and manage service delivery of UCARMHS services within Cambridge; delivering safe and effective high-quality services, within the available resources, to achieve agreed targets.
  The post holder will provide leadership and expertise to the UCARMHSS Service to deliver services within the agreed service model, working with staff within the University of Cambridge and Anglia Ruskin University , and other stakeholders, maintaining effective working relationships with CPFT Service Managers within the teams and Directorate.
  The post holder will work to establish and sustain effective multi-disciplinary working within and across teams and develop effective local partnerships with both the University of Cambridge and Anglia Ruskin University.
  The post holder will have expertise in providing support to a diverse population that can present with complex mental health needs whilst maintaining high functioning and moving between NHS trust catchment areas.

  The UCARMHSS service will be hosted at the University of Cambridge Student Services Centre (SSC). The SSC is home to many student-serving departments across the University, including UCARMHSS. The SSC is in Cambridge city centre (Bene’t Street, New Museums Site, Cambridge, CB2 3PT) and is marked on this University map . The service operates on the 3 rd floor of the building, alongside the Mental Health Advice Service (MHAS), the University Counselling Service (UCS) , the Postgraduate Wellbeing Service (PWS) and the Harassment and Violence Support Service (HVSS)
